The advantage to outdoor photography is location. The studio can be almost anywhere. It is more convenient for large groups. You can move and pose easily which is good for families with active children. Objects such as cars, motor cycles, large pets or livestock can be worked with better outdoors. 

The disadvantage to outdoor photography is lack of control of your environment. Rain, snow, too many clouds, sun too bright, too windy. It all can cause problems with an outdoor Photo shoot.  You have to work quickly due to  changing conditions like weather, sun or other people at the location who can get in the way of the photo.
